Meet the Teacher

Hi!  Welcome to Career Explorations at Hillcrest Middle School.  My name is Jennifer Asher and I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to teach the Career Explorations class at Hillcrest Middle School!  I have been teaching for 11 years, 10 of which have been 7th grade Science, and I absolutely love the junior high level.  This will be my first year teaching in the Exploratory Department and I am really excited for this new challenge.  Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to coach Cross Country, Volleyball and Spiritline, which has been a great deal of fun as well. 

I graduated from ASU West in 1998 with my Bachlor's Degree in Elementary Education and since then have completed an ESL Endorsement as well as a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.

As far as personal interests, I enjoy spending time with my new husband (see our wedding photos below.....we just got married this past June!) and my family and friends.  I love to hike, run, bike, travel, see movies, play volleyball, tennis, and eat chocolate.  I also have two wonderful dogs named Maggie and Daisy (See pictures below).  Maggie is a Boxer and is full of energy and Daisy is a Golden Retriever puppy that is a brand new addition to our family.  They both provide me with great entertainment as well as the opportunity for some fun stories in class.
